I’m still figuring out how to use the event widget, which isn’t exactly working for me right now.  But anyhow, I wanted to let you know that I’ll be playing a short set at 12 pm at Covenant Christian Academy’s Spring Festival on May 9, 2009.  CCA is located at 1414 Pennsylvania Ave., Bethlehem, PA.  Just fyi!

MAY CDS!!!! YAY!!! 

During the month of April, we (”we” meaning myself and my amazing designer-brother, Jason) have been working out the last few kinks of the cd design before we send it off to get duplicated.  Alllllmost there.  I am sending out the master discs tomorrow morning, and hopefully everything will be ready somewhere in the beginning of May!  As soon as I have an official release date, I’ll post it here first!

Hey everyone…it’s been a little while, so I thought I would update this.  Not that there’s much new going on at the moment, but I figure I can least update you on the fact that there’s nothing new, right?   STILL designing the cd packaging.  I know, I know, it really shouldn’t be taking this long, but there were a few bumps in the road. (Aren’t there always, wouldn’t it seem?!)  Buuuuut…we’re springin’ forward anyway (figuratively and literally…it was daylight savings last night!).

So, what is going on with me?  So glad you asked!   Haha, it’s been a crazy 2009 thus far.  A lot of plans, a lot of hopes, a lot of dreams…and lately a lot of disappointments (some related to the above, some not).  It’s been quite an experience to walk through everything…and I think that’s what God is trying to teach me: to keep moving forward based on His promises, even though things don’t go exactly according to how I planned them.  God has been tugging at my heart these last few weeks, reminding me to trust Him and to focus on Him.  Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5&6, NASB) That’s pretty much been my flagship verse lately!

What else, what else….well, I guess I forgot to mention this, but back in January, I did a little project I entitled “31 Days of Songs That You Will Probably Never Hear”.  Basically, I wrote something every day for the month of January….well, up to the 24th, because then I was out of town the rest of the month…but 24 out of 30 ain’t bad, huh?    The self-imposed rule was to write SOMETHING every day; sometimes it was a verse, a chorus, or both.  Or a snippet of a lyric idea here, a melody there.  I wanted to exercise my creative muscles and get the juices flowing.  Even if it was downright blah, I had to write it down and then record it on a work tape.  (I have a handy cassette recorder by my piano so I don’t forget ideas or new songs I’m writing.)  Let me tell you, it was TOUGH for me.  I’ve never really been one to just sit down and write a song or even be creative on command.  But, the point of the exercise wasn’t about the quality of the song; it was about forcing my brain to try to come up with something new.  However, I did get a few ideas for some songs that I’d like to develop, and who knows, maybe one day you WILL hear one or two of them!

Well, friends, ciao for now, and I ask that you pray with me that the cd design gets finished…and the springin’ forward will continue.

P.S. The service at Victory Christian Church went really well!  It was great to be there and the people were so wonderful.  And Holy Spirit was there and doing His thing, so OF COURSE it was great!

Tonight I met with an old high school friend, Nienke Izurieta, who is an AMAZING photographer and we had ourselves a photo shoot!  Truly, it was a blast and there should be some great pics up soon.  Plus, it’s more than likely that they will be used in the cd packaging design.  So things are happening, and once the packaging design is finished, it be will off to the disc manufacturer and voila!  Music to everyone’s ears (literally!)!

Yessiree, folks!  After having the same biography since 2005, I decided it’s time for a new one.  I recruited a few friends’ help *cough*ChelseaClarkandJenMassa*cough*, and now there is a question and answer part as well as a favs part.  Check it out!

The last day of 2008 is upon us…can you believe it?!  I love the turn of a new year.  There’s this wonderful “freshness” to it, like God grabbed a hot batch of time from the oven and is serving it tonight. 

Well, dear ones, I have not forgotten about the aforementioned and promised pics and videos and other wonderful tidbits.  It’s just been busy for me with packing, traversing half the country, unpacking, the holidays, and now…well, hopefully soon and very soon I can re-do the site and offer you a whole package of online goodness in the next few weeks.

The final mix of the 3-song demo I did at Spaceway finally came in the mail yesterday.  Sounds good to me!  Once again, I have to thank Will Hunt for his amazing expertise.

I was really getting sick and tired of coming to the site and seeing the same old WordPress Theme, so I finally decided to change it up a little.  This new one is just a nice little puff of fresh air.  Eventually I would really like to redesign the entire site and custom-tailor it to moi, but for now, WordPress will have to do. 

So I haven’t forgotten about the pics and videos from the studio.  Kasey and I just finished editing everything not too long ago, so don’t you worry, they’ll be up soon!
